Moveable Mural for Your Home and Business

By Maria S. Parasiewicz

Having a wall mural in your home is to make a statement about your artistic nature, as well as increasing the value and visual appeal of your home.

It is a way of permanently altering the look of your home, and adding something to it which gives it uniqueness, all of its own.

There are times, however, when we may need to change our home or perhaps move the mural into a new area.

If you foresee this in your own situation, perhaps a moveable mural would be something that you could use.

Why moveable murals?

Moveable murals exist in two main forms, either of which can easily be uninstalled, and reinstalled to a different location. There are good reasons to consider using both types.

It does not matter what type of moveable mural you choose, either way the artist has the convenience of being able to work in his or her own studio, up until the time comes to deliver your mural.

Mural on plywood: The most common type of moveable mural is done on plywood and may come in one or more different sections. These sections can easily be added or removed from a room and they are typically attached with small nails so that they are a temporary fixture.

Murals on plywood are rigid and quite durable. This is very good when transporting the mural. However, you should be aware that due to their size, murals on plywood are not very conveniently stored.

Mural on Canvas: Another type of moveable mural that you can choose is on canvas. Many people prefer to use this type of mural if there is a possibility that it is going to be staying at the same place for a long period of time.

Canvas is best installed by a professional who is used to handling this type of material; installation is similar to that of wallpaper. This type of mural should not be removed by the homeowner but it needs to be handled very carefully by a professional so that it is not damaged during the removal.

These murals take up very little space during storage, as canvas can be rolled up and put in a tube. This is practical during a move or renovation.

You may want to remove a childs mural when they outgrow it, or you may be moving to a different home. No matter what your reason is, it is great to have the freedom to move a mural without fear of damage.

After all, it will only take a few moments to remove and reinstall the wall mural into your new home while having a memory of your old home keep you comfort in the new. - 16732
