Try Bodybuilding as a Career

By Mick Hart

You may not have known that bodybuilding can really give you the lucrative and rewarding lifestyle you were looking for. You can use your big muscles to either become a bodybuilding coach, a gym owner or you may feel confident enough to set up your own fitness gym.

The thought of all bodybuilders making a fortune is obviously not possible but those bodybuilders with the will and right commitment could end up becoming a film stars or a top model, but I am going to cover other feasible areas within the fitness industry even though they will need qualified training.

You will need information and practical training from home study, further education, school, college or night classes. A gym instructor for example requires practical skills combined with on going work experience. Not only a basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nutrition, but to have the ability to communicate that knowledge and interact socially with confidence.

You will carry out an extremely physical training course for long time periods. It is very important that you remain enthusiastic while you are under these strenuous conditions, but if you can do it in the gym you can do it in the classroom too. You will be taught how to learn the creation of personalized programs, diet needs. This is a very hard training program and will put your body and mind to the test and I would recommend that you take out "professional indemnity insurance".

It's extremely satisfying to just run a gym, but you will find that other practitioners are also greatly in demand and even better paid. The career prospects are excellent and there are always vacancies in the health and fitness or Aerobics field. You may also consider becoming a fitness training instructor, a one on one coach, a health club and leisure center management, a nutrition councilor, a recreation activity director, or set up your own home gym for fitness or hard core lifting for budding bodybuilders.

You could even try becoming a model for sports clothes, equipment, supplements etc or you could even venture into Bodybuilding contests at local, national or international level, where there is always a lot of prize money to be won. It's down to you how hard you want to work at this and with the right frame of mind you could spend the rest of your life working in what you love most - bodybuilding. - 16732
